Cross-generational work

Our location at the Baden Regional Care Center fosters wonderful intergenerational encounters. During walks, in the corridors, on the intergenerational playground, and in the Garden of Remembrance, children meet the residents of the care center. These spontaneous interactions often lead to brief conversations, smiles, or waves, bringing immense joy to both the elderly and the children.

Once a week, we visit the residential groups in the nursing home to sing songs together and have short conversations. These precious moments evoke many memories for the older residents and promote respectful interactions. Additionally, the mixed-age groups regularly visit the dementia ward, allowing them to see familiar faces and better address everyone’s needs. During these visits, individual interactions occur, and joint activities or snacks are organized by the nursery staff or care center employees.

We host two major events each year: the care center’s summer party, where the children perform songs or dances, and the Latärnlium parade in November, which we organize together. These events strengthen the bond between generations and create unforgettable experiences.
