Working at the Kinderkrippe Kolibri
Our approach to childcare is guided by our core values: appreciation, independence, fairness, and creativity. These values are integral not only to our interactions with children but also within our team and in our relationships with parents.
Building strong relationships is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. A positive bond between staff and children fosters an environment of warmth and security, allowing children to feel comfortable and thrive. This foundation enables us to provide the necessary stimuli for their development, as staff and children embark on a shared journey of growth and learning.
As a training company, we emphasize close collaboration between trainers and trainees. Our training plan is developed jointly, focusing on taking responsibility within an appropriate framework, while always leveraging the team’s experience. Currently, we are training two apprentices and one trainee.
What we offer our employees:
- Good and open communication between team members and nursery management
- An association-run, independent crèche with parents on the board
- Pay based on the recommendations of KiBe-Suisse
- Opportunities for further training and individual support for personal interests
We welcome unsolicited applications and look forward to receiving meaningful application documents. Please send your application to Elena Baiocchi at info@kinderkrippekolibri.ch.
Our history
Kinderkrippe Kolibri traces its roots back to Kinderkrippe im Kornhaus, founded in 1991 by dedicated parents seeking quality care for their children. Initially, it operated as a self-help organization with significant parental involvement in cooking, administration, bookkeeping, and staff coverage.
As the group size grew, a fundamental restructuring was necessary. In August 1991, a new concept was introduced, granting the daycare management more authority and allowing them to operate independently. Parental involvement shifted to a supportive and advisory role, a practice we continue today by selecting board and presidium members from among the parents.
In 2009, the city of Baden required the Kornhaus for its own daycare structures, leading to the termination of our rental agreement. This prompted the founding of Kinderkrippe Martinsberg (now Kinderkrippe Mandelbaum) and Kinderkrippe Kolibri under a joint association. Kinderkrippe Kolibri relocated to the Regional Care Center Baden (RPB) at the end of 2010, fostering intergenerational interaction and expanding from one to three groups, including highly sought-after baby care places.
Over the years, evolving circumstances and gained experience led to the decision to spin off Kinderkrippe Kolibri from the joint association. Consequently, the Association Kinderkrippe Kolibri was established on April 13, 2016.
Association Kinderkrippe Kolibri
Since April 2016, the daycare center has been operated by the Association Kinderkrippe Kolibri. Parents must be members of the association to enroll their children, with an annual fee of CHF 50. The association is represented by a board composed of parents, responsible for the strategic management of the daycare. The daycare management also serves on the board, overseeing the operational aspects of the daycare business.
